Cy’s Logo

Posted by cn787 on February 27, 2007

I was experimenting in Illustrator when I had the basic idea for this logo- incorporating my name into part of a trumpet (which I play). I like how fluid it turned out, but I’m somewhat stumped in terms of improvements I can make. I’m imagining the logo as part of a mast head for a website, but I like the black & white simplicity of the stand alone version too. Possible additions to the logo include color (perhaps to make my name stand out more?), adding my last name or some other tag in a simple serif font, or tossing the whole thing and starting from scratch.

Edit: These two versions are also posted here.

I thought that your logo had to be the most creative. I tried to create a logo by signing my name (or initials) and it didn’t work out for me but you made it work great. Very creative and the trumpet adds character which is always great if you can tie it in which you clearly have nailed down to a tee.

Hey Cy I like your trumpet. It’s really neat. It’s very musical-like. I’m sure you’re webpage will be very music too. Have a nice day.
