The websites that were appealing to me were bet.com, vh1.com, and ardenb.com. First I chose www.bet.com because it contained color combinations of blue, white, red, and black. From the definitions I believe that it uses the Subtractive Promaries because there really was not a lot of light colors. The color blue represents stability, white represents being fresh, young and hip. The next website that I liked was www.vh1.com, the colors were active and vibrant. The colors that the site chose were Pink, green, and yellow all on a background that was grey. The color pink represents passion and relaxation, and the color yellow represents warmth and illumination. The last website that appealed to me was www.ardenb.com, which kept the page very simple using colors such as black, white and yellow. The color white represents freshness, young, and simple-the color yellow reprsents summer, and warmth. I like this web page because it is very simple because the entire page is black and the letters are in white.

I had no clue where to start in creating a logo for my name. I chose blue and gold as my two primary colors because I think those two colors complement each other plus it is my frat colors so I use these colors all the time. I then started to make a simple logo but then decided to change it by liquifing the two boxes and then used cligraphy (sp?) brush to “sign” my name, well at least my initials. I think i work best off of other peoples commens so my logo will probably change after we have peer reviews.

This would be my logo if I were finished today.
This is my first logo. It’s a result of me fiddling around with Illustrator for the first time. I used the paintbrush and pencil tools to write my name. Then I used the draw-a-swirly-guy tool to make a spiral. I added lines to the spiral and filled it with various colors. I positioned my name skewed to the bottom right and left the background transparent. C’est tout.

My logo isn’t anything terribly worth noting, aside from the fact that this likely won’t be my final logo unless my standards drop considerably. I started with the circle design, added my name with about a 2 point width on it and then put a little 3D robot guy on top of all of it, because hey, robots are cool.

The logo I chose for my webpage was simply my nickname – Kay – that was highlighted in blue undertones such as bright neon blue and a darker blue. I used the SVG filter of cool breeze to reach this effect.
Blue is my favorite color and I chose to use my name in undercase lettering to show how relaxed I am. I also used the arial font to create lettering that could be seen from afar. My logo is not completed yet, either.
**And here is the actual logo on my Index**
**EDIT** – During class today, I have added a high-heel to my logo to express my like for fashion and style. I felt just the wording was too plain for my page and thought an object would help my logo stand out.

Here is my logo!
The logo I chose was my name in the Harrington font with a pink color. I loved the font and chose pink because it best represents me. I decided to have an Gerber Daisy as my O is my last name because it is my favorite flower. I’m not really advanced with any of these programs so I felt very limited on what I was doing. I hope that before the project is complete that I will be able to adjust and change my logo.

Here’s my logo, I was wanting to go with something simple, yet futuristic. It accomplishes the point of a logo without being flashy or clustered.

I could not figure out how to change my website so I just posted the link to my logo directly on here.
First I uploaded a picture I took of my helmet, my glove, and softball.
I then opened a one inch by one inch new page in photoshop.
I chose Garamond text for my letter “m”.
I chose a gold coloring for the text.
I opened the layer style.
-bevel and emoboss: depth 1000, size 10
-added an inner glow
-drop shadow with angle at 115
-stroke with 5 size
I then duplicated the “m” layer.
And lastly,
I changed the background capacity to 95% for a lighter background.
I chose to use my equipment for my back ground because softball is my life and it seemed appropriate. I used letters from my first and last initals to fit ontop of my picture. I used the gold coloring because our school colors are black and gold. I used the bevel and emboss, the glow, and the shadow to really bring out my initals.

I created the logo I have so far because I thought the font, colors, and image blended complimentary together, which allowed for a professional look. I wanted the look of my logo to look professional, yet still fit within an art environment. I thought the graphic next to my name looked like a paint mark, but didn’t look too sloppy. I decided to use my full name because my last name is only one syllable , which didn’t look right with the graphic. The spacing between the letters allowed my name to seem more dominant, which couldn’t have been so effect without the use of my middle name. I used the multiple shades/tints of green because of its soothing quality and calm associations with it.
