In Blood’s article, she highlights the freedom given to writers by blogging. Conservative thinkers may feel that the changes in the industry of literature are not only disastrous but backwards. Now, anyone can become published. There is no need for credentials or publishers and Elitist thinkers may be intimidated by the possibility of the uneducated masses criticizing their ideas. But on the other hand, sites such as Myspace and Youtube have created medians for an unprecedented flow of creativity. The easy to use blogging sites enable individuals from all walks of life to share their life experience. The power of the media no longer lies in a handful of corporations. The power is shared among everyone.

My name is Jeffrey and I am a communication and journalism major. I hope to get a job in the public relations field as a press secretary or spokesperson. I spend much of my time playing tennis, with my fraternity, and spending too much time on facebook. I want to learn a lot about how to work with video’s and the internet.

I’m Sarah, an English Major from St. Louis. I’m excited about using technology to express ideas and emotions. Also, I am looking forward to receiving an ipod for the semester. I feel a little goofy using my five year old Ryka Mp3 player in the rec center.
